So I leave my house then about 2mins later I hear a funny ticking noise from my car so I pull over and turn her off. Try to turn her back on but she's goneskies.. so regretting buying this car, constantly pumping money into it just to keep it running :( On the bright side the title of this thread rhymes which is pretty cooooooool!

pop the bonnet and look on the drivers side cam belt cover for a grey square thing that looks like a heat sink and a big plug coming out of it.. if its there thats a s1..

Well if it doesn't even crank it's not your PTU. Look towards battery connection, battery or alternator for you culprits.

Was the "tick" becoming louder as you went along ,and could you feel it through the car? and did it turn off quicker than usual ?

i got the same issue right now.

Seems my car battery goes flat for no reason. got my battery tested and its all good, but its the alternator on its way out. I am getting the antilock light too and i lose power steering but if i jump start the car it works and when i rev a bit antilocks goes away and power steering works fine too.
