Has anybody used the N Power Turbo Back exhaust from ebay? This is the link Whilst being thin walled and cheap. Does anyone have this exhaust or can comment on it? Cheers Steve
Hey Steve, I've seen these on customer cars before... They are 'alright' however due to the thin walls, you can hear the metal ticking (expanding/contracting) when the car is off. It also has a tinny exhaust note to it. I can get the same product but I can custom order it with thicker wall piping (say 2.5mm instead of 1.25mm). To be honest I haven't ordered any before but my exhaust supplier has come through with the goods before.
Cheers for the info Tom At a minimum i was going to get the standard dump/front pipes. After that im not sure. I can use my existing single exhaust. Or alternativly I can get a different cat back system to match up. Would your dump/front pipes be the same price as the npower guy at $300 delivered or so? Or pickup? Then prehaps a quote from your man on the thicker walled cat back system? My existing single system is not sufficient. At the point after it goes from 2 pipes to 1 pipe, it doesnt change diameter. So it goes from the stock 2x2.25" into 1x2.25" before it expandes to 1x3.5". I need bigger! Cheers Steve
dump and tests are fine Steve,ive seen the npower exhaust system though,very cheap and tinny ,far better off going a custom setup,do it once,do it right
I got the dumps, test pipes and H pipe, the rest I used magnaflow mufflers to finish it off, very happy with the system, although the H pipe does make it a very quiet system, Im thinking if getting the same H pipe made up without the resonators to get a nicer note out of it.
you want a nice note ,get the uas x-pipe/centre muffler,best thing ive bought in a while,not cheap,but certainly worth it match that with magnaflows and youll be set nicely :zlove:
I know what you mean about the do it once thing. Ive already done it once on my last car. Now ive got to do it again. There are ways around spending money on over inflated prices when their is more competitive places around. Take for instance your UAS center muffler, the same item can be had from magnaflow for around 50% of the cost. I would even consider like Luis mentioned, getting the front and mid of npower, and getting a thick walled tube and mufflers past that point. Even keeping away from stainless steal to reduce the tinnyness even further.
