WOW it was pretty wild at times, was expecting a cruise, not a race day, but it was a heap of fun. Poor Teegan was screaming and bracing herself most of the way, but she says it was all fun in the end. Unfortunately the camera had enough power to turn on, before promptly turning off again, so no photos :( sorry. I think the several trips around the roundabout with 6 Zeds trying to find the Caltex was pretty fun, no one knew where to go!

Only 1 slight issue with overheating when we were flying through the cane fields, but it was ok once the pace reduced again.

All in all I had a heap of fun, got to meet some new faces and can't wait for the next one. Teegan will probably pass on any more wild drives though... heh

Yes it was fun but it was a complete race!! really wild at times. Around the cane field area some of us got left behind cos some tarago cut us off and slowed us down and it became a rally to catch up once we overtook the damn thing. :D

Remind me to bring slicks to the next so called "cruise" lol.

    BlueZ Oldie but a goodie

Yeh? You should try driving with my wife in the passenger seat.
Great time though, and good to catch up with some old timers - especially Cove (it will be better when he finally makes the move to SEQ). Of course it was also good to meet the new(er) members as well.
Bit of a concern that Nasty Girl kept up with me. I might have to work just a bit harder next time. lol.

Sounds like you all had a lovely leisurely sunday drive, nothing out of the ordinary there.

Kiz, do you have trouble keeping up to the speed limit? Maybe you have issues with your car?

Hi guys and girls, thank you to everyone for making a great day, 15 Zeds looked very cool and turned quite a few heads, yes it became a bit of a rally at times, and its a shame that the other people (not 300zx owners) think they can get in the way :D and drive slowly.

Can't wait for another run, here's some picture.

    Sunday drivers

Sunday drivers held us back, well below speed limits, for 90% of the run... especially one white Camry. :(

It certainly was NOT a race and lead cars spent most of the time waiting for balance of the 16+ convoy to re-group.
A few new Zedders are respectfully advised to attend Driver Training courses before attending the next cruiZe. No disrespect intended, but as reported to me from others down the back, a few of you were not totally in control thru the twisties.

There is NO need to exceed speed limits on any cruiZe; driving beyond your limit is not necessary. Lead cars will always slow down and await re-grouping when heavy traffic prevails.

Zambo/zane ... thank you for one top cruise and a great day .. had heaps of fun .....

.. as for speed, that was a casual run, impeded at times by granny driving home from church in her Camry (i think that she had been slurping the altar wine) ... lol... lads, if you thought that stroll in the cane fields was fast, you had better pass on our next "wivenhoe run" ...lol...

cannot wait for more pics .. there should be heaps ...

.. and one for MAX ... b/baz really does have NOS ..!!! .. wait for it .... eeekkkk

I'll have to get the rear-end handling issues in the Zed sorted before I try the "Wivenhoe Run", and a service and tune.

Sorry that Ztoy and myself couldn't make it. But we had a late check-out up in Bris this morning, as we saw Cirque Du Soleil last night.
Will make sure we are on the next one thou, will even have the Al's Zed up and running.

lol i didn't break any road rules. i think!!! my car stood still(engine revving an all) the road was moving fast. to tell you the truth you don't need slicks(it helps) you just need to know how to drive your car and your limits as a driver/car. i have a na auto and i kept up fine.

all in all i had a marvels day. didn't waste as much fuel as i had hoped but still, great windy roads BUT TOO BUMPY. was a pleasure to meet some new faces and finally match faces to nicknames. thanks everyone for a great day and time. oh did i mention i need a turbo or 2.....
