Hi all, thought i'd share some pics of my rebuild. After blowing a headgasket and cracking 2 pistons in March 07, it spent a long time in pieces in the shed at home. After getting motivated about 6 months ago, I've spent a fair amount of time (and who knows how much money) getting it going again. Finally firing it up again on sunday.

man that is HORN!!! can we get bigger pics?? what power is she pushing out? what rpm are you hitting full boost at? also why'd you go with a dizzy and the cema cam covers?
daymmm that is different. quality of fab looks excellent what made you go with a single plenum? and also ignition leads instead of the coil packs etc ???? and i DEMAND!!!!!!!!! vids of your car screaming its titts off with those EXTERNAL WASTEGATES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :zlove::zlove::zlove::zlove::zlove::zlove::zlove::zlove::zlove::zlove::zlove::zlove::zlove::zlove::zlove:
Was making 370rwkw on stock bottom end. Haven't had it tuned yet, so not sure what it might do. Went with cema covers and manifold to tidy engine bay up. It looks heaps neater now. It has no dizzy, just 6 coils mounted where battery used to be. Coils are wired to original coil wires. Picture of old dyno sheet
ah ok sorry thought itwas a dizzy cant really tell pics are so small HINT HINT how do you think the plenum you made is going? is it tuned length? bell mouthed runners?? under the impression its really hard to improve on the stock design.. dont you get oil all over your fmic piping when you change the filter?
Plenum was bought from the US. Has been tested by a guy over there. You're right the stock design is hard to improve on, but i'm not overly concerned about torque down low or mid range as the engine will be coupled to a 2 speed powerglide and 5000rpm stall when engine has been tuned. Even as the engine is now, before a proper tune, it doesn't feel to bad down low in the revs. Similar to the old engine. Luckily the filter is placed in a good spot, its close, but if you do spill some oil it doesn't take much to clean up. Is this size any better?
Stop showing off I bet all the kids will ask whats sticking out the bonnet. Its not a street car is it?
now i remember your zed. i saw the older pics of your ride and it triggard my mind which zed this is. so you are out to set the fastest 1/4mile time in aus. what did you actually run on your last setup. what time are you chasing now?? bloody awsome car. pretty fkn insane do you have any videos of your car in action. i reallllllyy want to hear those external wastegates screaming
Nice to see something a little different... Guessing this car is built for the drag strip? Well done, looks like a very neat build :zlove:
lol drive it on the street till you get defected Nice build mate some bog dollars there Good luck with it and yes post some vids this thing looks like one hell of a monster.
Still registered and driven. have to find a scoop or something to cover the throttle body and IAC valve.
That's the one. Ran a 12.2 at 124mph with no traction at heathcote a couple of years ago. There was a video on fullboost.com which featured a run of mine. I'll have to see if i can find a link.
