Day Cruise to Coles Bay.​

This invite is for everyone who wants to bring their car along,
and it has been posted on many forums. So it's not just us Zs.
Though I'm organizing it, so if there's anything more you'd like to know, PM me.​

Hobart:
Meet at (yet to decide), at 6:00 to 6.30am leave at 7:00am

Launceston:
Meet at Inveresk Car Park (Wellington St.), at 7:00 to 7:30am leave at 8:00am

Launceston and Hobart will arrive at Campbell Town at around 8:45 to 9:00am.

If Via A4:
Full trip for Hobart: Approx. 487km Minimum
Full Trip for Launceston: Approx. 494km Minimum

Around 6 hours 30 minutes (Driving time only)


UHF:
Ch. 7

Cruise up Midlands HWY [1] and all meet at Campbell Town for breakfast.

Then cruise along Esk HWY [A4] over Elephant Pass to the Tasman HWY [A3] and then to Coles bay for a BBQ Lunch etc. Maybe go for a walk over to Wine Glass bay.

Hobart will then cruise along the A3 back to Hobart, and Launceston people will do the same through St.Helens back to Launceston

BTW Inveresk Carpark is on Invermay Rd not Wellington St.

Should be a good trip. Looking forward to it if we are free which at this stage we are. Not looking forward to the early start. Ar well.

Just touching base to see how the Coles bay cruise is coming along ?

I am in for this one. where is every one meeting??

 

My son and I coming over from Devonport for the cruise, however, I'm thinking of heading to Hobart and staying the day. I'll head south with the southerners.

Anyone know of good hotels in Hobart city. Would rather stay close to city for market and movies ect.
(I'll check the yellow pages etc, although, a few nice but not expensive Hobart city hotel recommendations). Any recommendations?

Depends on how close to the city you want. there is a place at Lutana just 5 mins out of town and it is called the water front lodge and it is $79.00 per room per nite.



IS there anygoing from hobart so we can meet up for the run to campbell town??

I've booked for my son and I at a place on Sandy Bay road. It's about a 2 min walk to the city and Market was an ok price ($125 a night)

Geeze.... I hope a few people are cruising because I've booked and paid for the place in Hobart. Although, If the cruise does not get enough cruisers my son and I will still head south anyhow. Would just be really cool to cruise to the East Coast and then onto Hobart with some Z's

Hope to see other's heading out for a cruise.
The Long range weather forcast is predicting Sunny on Sat about 18 degrees (just warm enough to pop the roof off lol)

Not sure, wherever we can park, most likely near the park on the highway, in front of subway and the bakery there.

I'll be there for sure mate in the Z, unsure how many other Zs are going but there'll be a few others coming from seperate car clubs etc.
