is that supposed to be a joke? pay a mechanic to do it on a hoist billy. tektrader still has the factory until mid November i think, get him to do it. if you still want to do this on monday we can spend the morning doing the bypasses, replacing fuel, coolant and vac lines etc and we can also do abit on other people's cars. then when the parts arrive in the afternoon we can finish up the plenum pull.

don't even think about it. unless you have a hoist, its not worth doing it. i've done my clutch with the car on stands and it took me a full weekend. i did it again last week with the use of a hoist and it only took me 6 hours.
I can also remove your AIVs while we wait. thats if you havent removed them yourself. But please dont cancel the tech day i really need this day to go ahead.
the clutch wasn't the problem. its pretty much bulet proof. the spigot bush however isn't. it had worn down to being only 0.5mm thick (brand new its 3 mm thich). after replacing that, it doesn't make that banging noise anymore.
fair enough. How'd it wear down so fast? But surely you must realise: banging noise from clutch = +20hp.
Anyone who tries to put a clutch in lying on their back has rocks in their head. I tried that with Moses car and it cost me $2000 for a shoulder reco I dont have the workshop as of last Wednesday. Working on an alternative. Will advise when its in concrete
