    nice mate

i think if you stick one more in between each on you have there and THEN fill the circle with 2 more rows inwards, it will look great :)

    well done

PS: will the plastic on those tail lights stand the led heat?

haha might work, these are the $250 ebay ones that came on the car when i got it.

i cant do a second spiral inside the outer one as its my indicator, i was thinking of redoing all my lights in led circles but theres issues with current flow ill have to deal with and atm theres other stuff worth fixing first

also, led's produce little if any heat, compared to a normal globe that produces lots.

I agree with ed300zx, if there were more of them to fill the circle hten maybe but they just look wrong on a zed anyway....

yeah im still wanting to put stock lights back on, as i recon they look much better, but i cant afford it and have loads of led's spare.

ill take a pic during the day but im only using the ring for parkers, the centre light gets brighter for brake lights.

if you wanna play with leds and customise the lights, how about keeping the same shape as the normal ones, but replacing them with millions of little leds..
someone has pictures of this somewhere

yeah i was thinking of that, in the lude i put 2 strips of about 24 led's in each light, turned out like this

haha well if a pair of cheep stock lights was to come up for sale i'll be sure to give it a go, the lude ones took about 8 hours to make, only problem i faced was brake warning light always stays on cos of lack of current draw

    just remove the bulb

haha doesnt work like that, the little black box, normally right hand side in the boot, is a current sensing circuit, meaning if any bulbs are not connected or blow itl turn on the warning light saying there not working. because the high current bulb is being replaces with very low current led's, it tell the car the lights arent working and the warning light stays on permanently

Think he meant remove the Lights warning bulb!.

the lude looks good. Do that to the zed. :) :) Fate

isn't that the whole purpose of a resistor?

    or ten

  18. psycodelik

    psycodelik psyco led's

no, resistor lowers voltage not current, current is the amount of power its using, not the level of the power needed.

yeah im planning on it once iv worked out what im doing with my car
