Anyone know of some good places around Sydney experienced in engine conversions? How much is it likely to cost to do the swap considering I've built the motor etc with all the parts ready to go, just need it installed? Just weighin up if its worth payin someone rather than doin it myself to save some hassle

You built the engine and they installed it, and in a month it goes boom ... who is responsible? If the engine came from an importer (e.g. out of a front cut) then you could claim on the warranty from them or the mechanic if it goes wrong. I think most mechanics would be very limiting on the guarantee they would provide on this job. As for a good engine install, try Mark at MRC (9634 5399) in Castle Hill.
mechanics will only give you a warranty on the work they do, so if it was something they did that causes the engine to blow then they would cover it, if not they won't. simple.
