If you were out on a public street, it would be your fault(no argument) as you are required to reverse with extreme care. As you were on private property, you have a bit of room for negotiation(imagine if it was a little kid playing there). Just remember that we have very poor rear vision in our Zeds, so you need to be very careful when reversing anywhere.:zlove:

agree.. some one can completely block you in but if you but the car in gear and reverse its your fault dude.... he should get towed or a ticket for parking there yes.. but your still stupid enough to reverse without looking...

He shouldn't have to pay IMO...

yep sadly i agree with the above

easy to do in a momment of laps concentration. In the car park at work ive recently had to jam on the anchors as I merilly start reversing thinking i know the distance, glance in the mirror again and am MUCH cloer to the row of cars on the other side than i thought.

Thankfully im still 100% accident free, but yeah, let your guard down for a second and BANG...litterally.

    We're human. Thats life.

i have been in similar circumstances before and unfortunately its no-ones fault as it on private property in a car park.
if he gonna make a claim get your insurance company to help fight it and diamgrams help.

no... it is your fault.. you reversed into him... its as simple as that... private property and carparks doesn't matter... thats like saying i can side swipe a line of cars in a coles carpark and not be accounted for it because its private property... or if my car was hit i have to pay for the damage... you have no leg to stand on if they did a runner i agree... both parties know about it and are working through it.. and as you were the one that drove into a parked car.. its your fault

whether he should have been parked there or not.. you made the choice to drive into him rather then ask him to move.

    plus you already said
which is just stupid on your behalf...

Whilst I know what your trying to say.. its still kinda rude that your making him pay for you reversing into him...
