    How much did this cost?

And was is a DIY kit?

    or a custom fitment?

i have been looking at one of those kits from modyourcar and i think that looks awesome

    1) Doors look hot. Good work
    2) OMG you have the same front bar as me. Are we the only 2 on this forum?
    3) LOVE your side skirts too. Fit well with the bar.

Cost around $2500, it was a cheaper kit which had to be modified to fit. If i was to do it again id go for a more expensive better quality kit which would have worked out about the same cost or even less. I saw one on a uk site for around 1k for the kit which looked good quality, worth the money if you like the look.

Not sure what an engineering certificate is but they were fitted by one of my local panel beaters.

Zeds are one of the few cars with a door shape that swoops up. I think the doors look great with a scissor hinge conversion. Well done.

I knew that :bash: ,unless you have an engineering certificate, your insurance is now void, you will also be defected by the first cop that wants to defect you
For these to be legal, they need to have an engineering certificate, that keeps the cops happy and the insurance company happy ,
Like i have said many times on other threads on these doors, firstly dont get cheap ones, get the zcentre ones, youll probably find the gas struts fail on these which is why they are cheaper, secondly there is alot more to having these fitted than meets the eye
Having said that,i reckon the doors look good, but you must get that certificate,or its going to be a hard road ahead for you imo

    lol..

Scissor doors on zeds look better when the windows are down while the doors are up, looks like horns of a bull!

    Cheers,

Do you have any close up pics of the hinges? Do they open higher than in the pictures? It looks like it might be a bit hard to get in and out. I like orange Zeds alot, but love black ones :)

    Hi Daniel_Peppin,

Thanks for sharing your photos there mate - lots of work gone into that Zed for sure.

Man, you must be one skinny bloke as there isn't much room to squeeze between the door and seat?

Best of luck there fellow zedder:cool:
