oil line thread specs

    does anyone know the thread specs of the stock oil line that comes out of the passenger side after the oil pressure sensor and then runs into the turbo ?

    I'm not sure of the actual size but one thing I can tell

    you is that the thread will be BSP (British Standard Pipe). While the Japanese went metric with most of their threads they kept the old British standard. You will find your fittings will probably be 1/8 inch BSP or 1/4 inch BSP both of which are the nominal pipe bore. Hope this helps you.

    yeah its a metric size 8...where the stock ops bolts into, on a seperate question does anyone know if there is a quick path to route cable for an aftermarket Oil Pressure guage that hooks into the cabin, from the OPS?

    Yes, through firewall where the Bonnet Release Cable passes through a rubber grommet.:zlove:

    thanks lloyd but i meant on the passenger side, near the ecu's , trying to figure out the shortest and easiest path to lay the cable to the after market OPS and back up to the guage sitting in the centre console.

    Why does it have to be on the Passenger side(the OPS is on the Drivers side)?
    Are you using an electric guage, or a manual one(Oil pipe)?

    OPS is on the passenger side. The guage is an electric type. I just finished wiring it all up and feeding the wires through, behind the ecu there's a rubber gromet which allows access into the cabin....if you pull and take a peek in the gap in through splash guard, you can see it

    not really bud. Zedophile wasnt 100% certain if it was either imperial or metirc but made a recommendation to what he thought based on what other size threads used in the car, which is fine. I pulled mine apart the other day to attain a t-piece for an a/m oil guage hence why i know.

    Quite so! The ISO metric specs adapted the British Standard Pipe thread series.

    Do a Google search and you will find out. Main thing is not to use USA NPT pipe fittings. They are similar but not the same. For example 1/8 inch NPT is slightly larger in diameter than BSP and one has 27 threads per inch and the other has 28. I think that somewhere in the Tech Section they mention NPT threads but believe me our cars are BSP. Cheerz.
