Anyone recommend a mechanic up here on the sunshine coast that will be trusted to work on my zed... Amec always look after me ( thanks Pete )... but the car won't get me down there this time. Racq ultra won't come to the party The car drives fine for a few minutes , but I think the fuel pump or something related is causing the car to splutter then stall...
Check your error codes. If the car hasn't been mucked around with much since I last played with it I know it has a series 1 PTU which can cause the symptoms you describe. Does it work well when cold and then conk out when she gets warm?

The car has been going sweet for ages... just today, on the way home it started playing up... like it was running out of fuel... spluttering/ shuddering then stalled when I slowed down ?... When I kicked it over five minutes later it went fine for a few more klm's then died again... same thing happened for the next ten klms home... over and over again... I don't know what the F@%k I'm looking at under the hood... was hoping to take it to a mechanic asap for some TLC as its my every day beast :zlove: ... p.s Thanks for your words of wisdom as expected
I also have a spare ptu Make shore that you push in the pins with a small screwdriver both sides of it as the pin locks move back with age and use. Shore one Chris will fix it, On ya Babe. cbzx .
I can recommend a Mobile Mechanic He is Ace and has relaced both my turbos in car, too tricky for most. He knows Zeds well and will come to you Mick on 0413 123393. He can plug in to conzult cable for readings check on tps and other sensors if you get an error code. He is out from Noosaville. Comes highly recommended but alas has no hoist or workshop, he is all mobile, nice truck too, purpose built turbo diesel... Cheers Bryn
