Gated Shifter E.O.I - Who Wants / Who can Make?

Hey guys,

A couple of members expressed interest in getting copies made of the abflug gated shifter I have. This is just an E.O.I on both who wants one of these, and who can make one of these (I assume at least a couple of members can either do this, or know someone who can do this).

Just a couple of points I'd like to clarify:

- I don't know anyone who can copy these parts, I don't have any industry connections in this type of thing.

- My only role in this is that i'll lend my kit, I don't want to "make a profit" or whatever off this, if you find someone who can replicate this kit, and enough people want this, they pay whatever your contact will charge.

Want to give something back to the forum. :zlove:

If this goes ahead i might just get one instead of trying to make something simular out of what ive got.

Excellent dude, just let everyone know what it would cost / how many would be required. (I had a feeling you'd say something, i saw your thread where you repaired the zed, a lot of work put in, looked amazing!)

Don't get me wrong, I like the abflug gated shifter...but think if we're gonna make more, we redesign...I honestly think it looks bolt on, not designed. Theres a mob in Sydney who designs and makes them car specific, plus anything else out of metal you could think of.

Consider this an EOI

 

Best idea yet. One with wider slots so you can slam it into gear and with a short shifter throw would be ideal. I'd keep it in the car if there was one.

Hey not at all, if people can get it done elsewhere and cheaper / better, of course they should! i was unaware of the link you posted, I thought there was no-one else that did these shifters, hence why I thought it a benefit to run the EOI.

If these guys can do it (and already offer it as a complete product), it makes more sense to get it from them. Surprised no-one has bought from them.

Man I would be interested if there was a group buy/make for these. Instead of the square base it should be made so it fits the curved rectangular piece as a whole...+ have it short throw...mmmmmMMmmm

 

I need to borrow the shifter for a while so I can work it out.

If you recon I would not take the opportunity to make it fit and look better than that. You would be wrong

Sorry Anton, the novelty wore off for me and a very nice gent from the UK made me an offer I couldn't refuse.. back to stock shifter now..
