Would carpet help? Hi Guys, About 6 months ago I went through this trying to find new carpet for the Z32. Massive mistake, but I put a battery in my passenger front foot well and it fell over while driving. Killed the very nice carpet i once had in my zed. In the end, I purchased from a wrecker a AUS 2+2 set of carpets, which have a few extra holes for the rear seatbelt then a Japspect 2+2 but I never fitted it, (mat covering the scars at the moment) Would they be able to use this as a base? I'm in vic and wouldn't mind dropping it off, If i get time this weekend I'll try call Tru-Fit Cheers..Clint
that would be tops if you could supply them with both the carpets without having to pull them out of the car. I'm keen on this. My personal preference is for as close to OEM as possible. And black, as it doesnt show marks etc. Make sure they do ALL the carpert in the car including trunk carpet and floor matts. I like these:

i have brand new plush pile black carpet,its moulded but i have no idea where it came from ?so someone already has the mould for right hand drive 2+2's already
My Car was the same, brand new carpet, it wasn't OEM either, because it didn't have the plastic cover on the driver foot well But I would say this was installed while in Japan. If there is someone in AUS with the mold they are not doing a very good job of trying to sale it. I'll give tru fit a call on Monday, I have 2+2 and boot carpet i could supply. Also, i'm sure the could mod a 2+2 set of carpet to fit a 2+0 Cheers..Clint
Come on guys let's not waste this opportunity. All you need to do is call Geoff Costello on 03 9792 2333 and let's get it rolling. Those of you, including myself, who have good carpets are only one accident away from having very poor carpets and no easy way to replace them. Also for those who are changing interiors, once the mould is made you can get just about any colour you want, not to mention mats (with logo's) and I am sure they could organise the boot carpets to match. I don't want to harp about this but if we miss the opportunity I am sure we will regret it. Tony
yeah my carpet is spotless too.. after 18 years its still good so i believe it will last a long long time still.
A new member Ozbek zx has offered to go and see Tru Fit about the carpet and mats. Maybe we will get some joy out of this yet. Tony
Good news for those who need it, AFAIK mine has always had the Fairlady Z Proper mats in her, Under that its still like new, and no markings that i can see around Lucky me i say... But those mats are thick and take out a bit of floor space
Im guessing nothing came of this since trufit still don't have a mold but has anyone been there and talked to Geoff ?
Some mob do them as i saw it advertised the other day.If i find it again i will post.Might have been qlnd based ?.I think they make them .
