is that safe to run with only a ungraded air intake and exhaust.
Does that mean the safty boost is of.
also ups the rpm to 7500 and turns of the speed limiter.
    any thoughts here guys.
    thanks.

the chip itself won't give 17psi, it will be written to 'allow' you to run

17psi by increasing the air flow limit. Probably have the speed limit removed and the rev limiter up to 7200. Fuel maps and timing maps I doubt wil be touched.

whys it matter? isnt the effeciecy range of t25g 16psi, so wont notice a difference between 17 or 16, some even say between 14+...

    Old post I know...

:bash: ...but I gotta input. I put a manual B/C on my car and its running on 16psi no worries with stock exhaust and pod filter. I replaced the spark plugs one day and I hit boost cut at 20psi (completely stock engine) and had to re tune the B/C back to 16psi which is what I've been running for the last 12 months. I'm sure the car is safe to run that much boost and the t25's are more than capable of running high boost, just not recommended.

I don't think it was a boost cut that you experienced. The ECU does not measure manifold pressure so the only two ways the revs can be cut is by air flow or RPM.

BTW; stock turbos are not T25's, they are TD22's :)

i always thought they had a t25 front with a t3 rear and flange

and the skylines had a t28/30

stockers are TB22 on the compressor side and T25 on the turbine side.

Honestly all these "chips" are a complete waste of money in my opinion, any changes later down the track and the thing is useless and will need to be retuned. Nistune is readily available now for the DETT, who from the Z32 camp is going to step up and start using it? :p

I will be i hope. I cant really justify the 1300$ for a standalone.

It might be hard to find a tuner but if they cant use nistune you have to question their ability.

I havent had alot of experience with it yet myself, I've played around with the software a bit and I've read up heaps of info on their site etc Apparently from what I've been told it's not that hard to learn yourself! Their support is really good! I just recommend getting a spare ECU so you can get one with Nistune and still have your original. That's what I'll be doing when the time comes for it and I know a few people who have had great results from it.

I already have a tune from 90ttz so it shouldnt be to hard to change over.

The whole point if it though is to be able to edit things yourself as you go.

I you can help me Get Nistune for less than the $445 ill put it in my car tommorow

The reason that I am thinking about not putting it in is i can get a Romulator for less and then just get a mate to burn a chip for me when i am done
