nissan 300zz x tt engine and gearbox complete can be removed and refitted complete with all ancillaries got the photos to prove it. /was a lot easier than pulling in all appart i can tell you.
lol how is his post confusing? he is trying tell everyone that pulling and putting back the engine with the gearbox still intact can be done. and well he has pictures to proove it lol...
lol, alot of people are under the impression that the engine and box cannot be removed together, this guy is trying to dispell that myth. Thanks anyway mate
That is the way the workshop manual tells you to do it for a manual For an auto, separate the transmission from the engine before lifting the engine out There is not much clearance though. I had big trouble on my (manual) wreck, but it was probably an inch shorter than it should have been.
As per usual... :worthless: Personally I hate removing gearboxes so I will be doing mine this way purely so I'm not under the Z for a day twisting my arms in ways that they where never supposed to go How high did you have to get the car up in the air so the engine cleared the radiator support?
why is this post is confusing? because: the statement "nissan 300zz x tt engine and gearbox complete can be removed and refitted complete with all ancillaries got the photos to prove it." implies that someone tried to tell him that the engine and gearbox cannot be removed together. however, where is a previous post in this thread or indeed any prior text that indicates that it could not be done? It's like we have to assume that some guy said to him "it cant be done". if we dont assume that, then it is confusing that someone just comes onto the forum and on their first post blurts out the above statement without any prior background information as to why the engine removal using this technique has to be "proved".
fleet said it first you msn virus giver :bash: :bash: (if chad sends you a file called (i sexually molested a kebab) dont accept it !! i think its confusing because it seems he is continuing an argument he was having, maybe i missed that thread lol
lol hey man its your fault for accepting a file over msn without asking me what it is lol...did u fix the problem?
so how did I remove it all... START > RUN > MS CONFIG > startup > Disable all RESTART 1. Download the following; - AVG anti-virus - Ad-Aware Personal - PC CLEAN 2. Update all of these - Ad-Aware requires you to continously click update untill it says no more updates as it only gets one each time you click stupid I know... 3. Run Ad-Aware, quarantine what ever this fines and click next it will delete just about everything then say it couldnt remove something 4. Restart your computer in Safe mode... (F8 in Bios after the boot selection) 5. Now In safe mode nothing is open except windows... so open ad-aware again scan and remove whatever it finds then close ad-aware 6. Open AVG and do a full system scan (mine took about 50mins) delete all virus's found and open VAULT in AVG and remove anything in there completely... 7. Open PC CLEAN and set up all the things in the options to block everything and apply, now do the Scan and let it remove everything... 8. now restart back to normal XP and b4 opening anything! Open the following Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs now here remove anything that sounds "suss" (ie: XXX Tool bar) there was about 4-5 programs I found AVG on every single one will have a pop up to remove a virus to the vault upon uninstall... Remove MSN go download the new MSN (just to be safe)
As with any job on the zed, 1. Read the workshop manual. If you don't have the manual, get one, or look it up from the tech section. 2. If you don't understand fully, go to the tech section and find a better documented procedure. If you find something, proceed. If not, ask the question. 3. If you fully understand, go to the tech section and find a better documented procedure. Regardless, proceed. The very most important tool is the workshop manual. It covers most of the things you need to know. Some may be hard to understand or underdocumented though. It is written for mechanics The tech section covers some of the things. It is usually documented so any of you/us fools can follow it. It is mostly accurate, but remember the writer is just one of us and may not know all variations on year models rh/lh etc.
Yes, You can easily remove the CPU with or without the gearbox attached. You planning on replacing your engine with a chip Simon ? A twin core cpu I take it. You could overboost it.
a bit off topic...but get an anti virus program called "NOD32". it's really good, had it for almost a year on every computer at my place and it's been pretty much flawless.
more detail on first thread .hei moffos, lose the attitude. meerly doing my bit to help you out . Had read on many forums and in the genuine nissan manual that you are unable to remove engine and gearbox as one. 1990 tt 4 door, targa. complete engine with auto removed and refited in one go with alternator,a.c,p/s and wiring harness attached, Car was on stands 12" off ground plenty of room to crawl under and remove exhaust propshaft etc. remove complete front crossmember,a piece of piss takes only 1 hour.Remove radiator a,c condensor and evaporator and heater fan box;this makes removing wiring harness easier;this is a bitch of a job. This is quicker than pulling it a;; appart I personally had all the a/c checked for leaks off the car, then re assembled. Thought this might help anyone taking on this major undertaking. give us a shout if you need any tips .
im sorry... did you say 4 door, do you mean a 4 seater??? are we still talking about the 300zx but it sounds like you have done your research, cheers for the information mate
