I had to share this. I know when I borrow the girlfriends car, her petrol tank is on the drivers side, while mine in the Z is on the passenger side. So I'm always getting it mixed up. And if I borrow a friends car...even worse. But, did anyone else know the easy way to tell? Look at the little petrol bowser symbol. If the "handle" extends to the left, your petrol cap is on the left. To the right, your petrol cap is on the right. Am I the only person who didn't know this???
I've been driving for 30 years and I never knew this. Missed the previous thread too, so thanks for the heads-up.
Hmm, what about the 90 or 180 arc the fuel needle moves through. If the arc is on the right hemisphere, petrol cap on right and vise versa. Does this hold true? Just seems such a simple things for manufacturers to have done...
doesnt work all the time.. in the work car the petrol icon is on the left and the fuel tank is on the right
