i believe my headlights are facing the ground and i tryed to adjust them with the screws, but it didnt move them at all...also the headlights r loose(i dont think they're secured properly)....could this be the root of the problem?
Your adjuster screws are probably broken - there is a tech article somewhere on replacing them with metal gears, as the factory ones get brittle and break. The headlights sit on a metal tray so unless that is bent or damaged it probably isn't the problem.
the headlights are really loose....like u can lift up 1 side of the headlight without taking off any bolts.....i think it may be a problem
On the plus side, that makes it much easier to take them out completely. So, set aside a weekend and take the lights out, pull them apart, clean them, replace the gears with those from Tamiya models, and put back in. That shold sort out most of your problems!
bolt them in then? check the tech article on removing head lights, also may need to remove front bar to get to them
taking off the front bumper isnt as easy as it looks....have you looked at how low mine is?? its difficult just getting your arm under there....its only 110mm off the ground....and a real pain going up gutters lol....gotta go slow and sideways up them lol
You shouldn't need to take the front bumper off to remove the headlights. It is much easier if you have a pod filter though.
ive got 235/40 on 18s.....which has put my speedo out...i figure im going 10kms slower then it really sez.....ive looked at some specs and still havent been able to figure out just how far out my speedo is....any tips?
Check out Miata tyre size calculator. With 235/40/18s, when your speedo indicates 100 kph you are actually travelling at 102.2. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html Cheers, Peter
thanks peter......but i have a tt gearbox in my NA and it has the wrong gearing in it, which is throwing off the speedo, so i cant really be sure of my speed.
oh ok...im not really sure...i just bought my Zed 3 weeks ago and i was told that it has tt gearbox and clutch....im still not to sure of the specifics
