perth zeds

are there any perth zed guys who can help out try to figure out wat is wrong with my car?????

i'd rather get someone who knows zeds rather then some mechanic i dont know telling me i need this and i spend a fortune.

describe whats wrong and maybe we can help over the forum,if thers no error codes hopefully its just a boost leak or something minor like that....

whats your tranny doing?
have u changed the fluid and filter/?
check the neutral switch?

 

alright, i got bought the car and it had some tranny problems, that ended up blowing up, so i got a second hand tranny which i was told was in "perfect working order" off the member, ZX 89 WA, im pretty sure thats him.

that gearbox is in, and now the car just seems to rev hi and change gears at a hi rev and even chnage gears when i take my foot off the accelerator. i took it to a auto tranny guy on Mccoy street in myaree, he reckons a rebuild, but after reading that tech article i think its something else. like electrical or maybe clutch, i dont know


also the other day when i turned on my car and then the idle dropped and it turned off

any help

 

also before i put the box in i got it serviced. sometimes it runs really crap, but the other night it ran really nice and near perfect, but today was another story.

also its a NA automatic

 

is it turbo or Na, if it is turbo do you have aftermarket bov's, ones that are located where u can see them when u open the hood?

 

it is NA, naturally awesome....but not lately

 

have you had conzult/datascan on the car and double checked everything is running the way it should...tps setting?

 

that tech article just says u need to link 2 ecu wires together and hey presto

Have you done an ECU and a transmission diagnostic?

When you start the car, does the power light (orange) flash a number of times or just go solid then off?

 

i did a ECU diagnostic today as well as a At diagnostic

and i got 5 long blinks and 5 short blinks for the ECU

and

one long blink and 10 short blinks for the AT

so it must be mechanical

 

can any one think of anythign else?

the front clutch perhaps?

if you have just had the new tranny serviced id be going back 2 those ppl and get them 2 sort the issues out. does overdrive work?

 

Good point. Go complain about how it now doesn't work after they serviced it. At least they might have a free look at it for further diagnosis.
