    Hey all,

Was pretty set on getting this ecu but after reading this thread about its bigger brother the E11v2, im having second thoughts!

For those who aren't familiar with the E8 specs here are details from the Haltech website: Haltech E8

The E8 doesnt come with a plug in loom for the 300ZX like the E11v2 does, but was just going to use the flying lead loom supplied. Apart from that i cant identify any points for my purposes (around 300rwkw) to justify the $600 price difference between the two.

Will i have any problems compared to any other ECU's such as the Microtech LTX-12, as i cant find any records of the E8 being used on zeds. Not really interested in a piggyback cause id like to ditch the AFM.

Any thoughts would be great, thanks!

you can run piggy back and still NOT use the AFM
i think an E8 will do the job nicely as a piggy back with retaining your factory idle control.
but spending the extra basicly gives you more inputs and outputs. however the E11v2 is a better ecu

both of which are better than a microtech:biggrin:

My E-Manage Ultimate has the option to run a MAP sensor, and that's also a piggyback. I prefer AFM's to MAP's, but that's more of an NA thing :p
