On behalf of SAUWA: We first and foremost we'd like to congratulate everyone who turned up for this event. It suprpassed all our expectations, with over 300 cars, and close to 1000 people. It was by far the biggest cruise we've ever held, and with all the money going to charity it was great that the Perth Performance Community got behind it. With money being raised from sell maps ($2), raffle tickets and additional generous donations we're very please to annouuunce that we managed to raise over $900 last night. We think this is a fantastic result, and want to thank all those people who helped raise the money. Although the weather was wet and there were a huge number of cars there was very little trouble on the night, and was good to see most people behaved. We'd like the thank the organiser Lucy for all her hard work, aswell as the other members of the Committee and SAUWA Club who helped us out on the night, without your help it wouldn't have been possible. The results of the raffle are below, please contact me so we can organise to get prizes out to you ASAP. On behalf of the SAUWA Club thanks. cruise IT was awesome fun, big turn out condsidering the weather was shite ! Sad to c a lot of cars got defected good to talk to a few zedders It was all good until fremantle prison car park everyone was leaving mainly because of the fact it was pissing down with rain when my friend decides not to look twice behind me and reverses straight into ME !!! NO biggie tho his paint got transfered onto my car LUCKILY ! other than that good nite any1 got any pics ???
I agree it was a great night and great turnout, apperently around 300 cars and 1000 people. Saw a couple of zeds in the city west meet but no-one by them to talk too, also passed three, each behind one another on a stretch of road, i'm sure you all saw me go past and turn at a set of lights but you guys kept going lol, i'm sure most people were getting lost. found these pics, not many, the links on the 3rd post down, found 1 of me in no.5 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=164835&st=380
yeah was a good night considering the weather and the mass turn out i thought there would of been more incidents with cars 'kissing' than there was i was completely lost in freo until stumbling across some familiar sets of taillights (300's)- that ended up leading me down a no through road and out of a 'no entry' exit reminded me of the good old days the little 180 kept up ok, and dan is super stoked that the rx7 didnt get a yellow like the other 4 skylines did that he got pulled over with
