OFFICIAL TTZ NA Headers GB!!!!!

Hi everyone.......finally time to get this GB sorted!!!:zlove: .......sorry it has taken a while but there were a few things to be considered!.......thanks for your patience!

NOTE: Simon has kindly provided some more info in the graph shown in the above link to highlight where the gains can be expected with the modified TTZ header design!

allowing the modified headers to be tested under real driving conditions......this is obviously an individual result.....& results would vary from car to car........(please note the car mods listed in the graph!).......but the key factor here is the difference for that particular example between the stock headers & the TTZED version!

The TTZED header design is a DIRECT DERIVATIVE of a US NAMEBRAND design that has been MODIFIED TO FIT RH DRIVE CARS!!!......as the steering mechanism will foul the driver's side header if this is not done!!!.......something to be careful of when buying from the US or ebay!!!

The pics below show the modified header design - GREEN line indicates approx location of steering mechanism on a RH DRIVE car!!, RED line shows where the header tube has been adjusted to accomodate this!



NOTE: in this next pic the variation in the laser cut flange that connects to the head of the motor......the 'missing' section (as highlighted by the RED circles) is to accommodate access for the oil dipstick to the block below - shown by the YELLOW line. The BLUE arrow indicates the provision for the O2 sensor......the other O2 provision is hidden from view in the previous shot!



FINISHES:

The headers will be available in a CHOICE OF 2 FINISHES:

A: Mat Black Heatproof paint (as shown in the pics above = standard included in price!) or
B : the optional 'HIPERCOAT' from HPC - either EXTERNAL ONLY or BOTH EXTERNAL & INTERNAL.....FOR THE NOMINATED EXTRA COST!

INSTALLATION:

NEW EXHAUST GASKETS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THIS PRICE!!!!.....but will be needed for installation!! This is mainly due to most pro fitters preferring to supply their own (either OEM, aftermarket or custom??) as it is their 'rep' that will be on the line if the headers leak from using inferior gaskets!

Gaskets can be purchased from TTZED at an ADDITIONAL COST!......& Simon is looking into getting better prices for the GB participants if you require them??
........I'll keep everyone informed on this as the information becomes available??

It is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that these headers are fitted by someone who is experienced in changing from stock headers to the aftermarket performance type! They are designed to be a tight fit & often knowing just where to apply the right amount of 'persuasion' can be the difference between a great fit & an alleged 'leak'!!!

An experienced installer should only charge a max of 3-4hrs labour......as long as there are no unexpected problems??

It has also been advised to add 2 EXTRA LUGS INTO THE HEAD as indicated by the RED arrows in the pic below (this can only occur on 1 side as there is no provision for extra lugs to be inserted on the other!! & the headers only allow for 4 bolts in this central position!!) This provides a fantastic 'anchor point' for the header connection on this side!






PLEASE BE AWARE: that the EGR will have to be 'disabled' upon installation of these headers as the design does not include provision for it!

PRICING:

The cost will be:

$580AUD gst inc for the standard mat black headers....a SAVING of $100 on the previously advertised price & $20 better than the previous GB on these!

ADDITIONAL $198AUD gst inc. per pair FOR EXTERNAL ONLY HPC!
TOTAL = $778AUD gst inc.

or

ADDITIONAL $295AUD gst inc. per pair FOR EXTRERNAL & INTERNAL HPC!
TOTAL = $875AUD gst inc.

GB NUMBERS REQUIRED:

We will need a minimum of 12 buyers = probably 2 groups of 6! to proceed with this GB!!

6 SETS IN STOCK WAITING F0R IMMEDIATE DELIVERY!!!!!!!

The first 6 buyers to PAY THE FULL PURCHASE PRICE + DELIVERY COSTS will be able to have their headers shipped ASAP!!!!!

These are the mat black finish......(should HPC be required you will have to wait for delivery as all the headers in the GB will need to be coated AT THE SAME TIME!! to keep costs down!)

The next group of 6 will require a 50% OF TOTAL PURCHASE PRICE DEPOSIT....(not including delivery charges!)..... which will be NON-REFUNDABLE!!......unless the headers CANNOT BE MANUFACTURED WITHIN 60 DAYS???.....which realistically won't be a problem!

This next batch of 6(minimum) will be a SPECIAL ORDER!!......once I have 6 deposits the order will be made & production will commence!......and because of this, payment for these WILL HAVE TO BE PROVIDED BY MYSELF UPON COMPLETION OF THE ORDER!!!! ....so I can't afford to have people backing out of the deal at the last minute & expecting deposit refunds!!YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

SHIPPING:

It is estimated that a set of headers will cost approx $25-30AUD gst inc. to safely pack & ship to SA & the eastern seaboard of Australia (up to Brisbane??).

Far North Qld, the NT, Tassie & WA may pay anywhere from approx $30-45AUD gst inc. depending on location??

VIC members will be able to pick their headers up from me (or possibly TTZED??) in person if they wish??

As soon as we have the EXTRA 6(min) deposits required (making a total of 12 buyers in the GB!!)......fingers crossed for all concerned that this won't take to long to achieve???......the order will be placed & it is estimated it should take a further 2-3weeks for production to be completed! What happened???.........

Over 12 members expressed interest in these!!!!........but no-one has PM'd regarding a definite order?????

 

I just can't afford these right now as I said in the previous thread. Is why I was trying to get more people so we could get the cheaper O/S made ones and would give a little time for some more people to save up the $$$ as a few other people mentioned.

Hopefully this GB continues for a while cause need more time to save $$$

 

Mine arrived on Tuesday

Hey Dude.

Sorry I could not participate in the GB.
I already had some headers to install... Ebay type items that had heaps of issues. Which are:

1. The collector box rubs against the steering rack.
2. The egr socket sticks out too far to fit on the pipe.
3. The driver side O2 sensor hits the steering rack.
And they were warped...

Since they would not fit, I had to source some more ASAP.
I bought these from the TTZ website. In fact, I think they are the very items you have photos of. Simon was very helpful.
The mounting flange rubs against some webbing on the head so he modified my headers by cutting a small 'v' to clear this. You can see it in the photos.
He will do this for all future production and the stock he has now.

Impressive workmanship, these are far superior than my shiny Ebay headers.

They are being installed today.

Will keep you informed as how it goes...

it may just be a case of selling the 6 remaining sets that are in stock!!!.....& having these HPC coated for those that want it???......so it will be kept open until the 6 sets are sold!........after that who knows??

So minus my set :zlove: ......there will only be 5 more available ......so sorry but it will be first in first served!!!

Like I said this will be the last stock for quite sometime unless we can fill interest for another 6 sets????.......which is not looking likely!

Some of you have said you might be interested with a bit more time???.....so perhaps we can look at running another round of 6 mid year or so????
