Does anyone in Perth know a good place to get a 42" plasma panel replaced? mate just gave me a brand new tv with a broken panel for free, said it was $700 to replace and TV is 1 month old worth 2-3g or something so all i need to do is replace the panel..

    anyone have connections?

If you give the local retravision/harvey norman etc a call they should be able to provide you a list of recommeneded service providers.

Its like if you break your mobile, optus/telstra etc will let you know the names of some local repair shops.

There is a mob on the great eastern f/way in Belmont(across from the BP)
See them but you will find if its a top brand name it will be a lot more than $700 I got a sony one done and it cost $1750 for the panel and then there was the fit cost.
if its a SD screen it will be around 700 plus fit, but you are better off paying a little bit more and buying a new one (42 panasonic SD $1300 and with warranty)
