    Get a new one

And a filter as well, not worth the hassle of it leaking and having to do it all over again.

Absolutely essential to change the oil and filter and gasket. A gasket and filter kit is around $40 and is the same kit for N/A and TT.

    Yeh same Question as Zilver>
Dont think $40 could possibly be a Nissan dealer's price could it?

Go to any auto parts shop. I think Repco would stock it, I got mine from Auto One. Just ask for a Auto transmission service kit for a 1990 300ZX, this way you won't get one for a Z31. Just ensure it is for a Jatco RE4R03A or RE4R01A which it would more likely be for the Aus Spec N/A

The filter is very expensive. But you dont need to change it. It is a steel guaze filter and can be cleaned out and reused.

Get some kero in a oil drain pan and clean the crap out of it. Back flush the filter and all the bits will drain back out. If you spend 20 mins cleaning it you wont need a new one.

It hasnt got a paper element like most other auto filters.

In my experience the pan gaskett goes hard and is a bastard to get off the old pan. I would alway reseal with silicon as well when you put the pan back on. :D

Changing tranny fluid is a turd messy job
