I wanted to firstly thank Caz for putting on such a great day we had top weather and the whole thing was first class. It was great to catch up with Franz again before his return trip home on Sunday, have a safe trip Franz.

Thanks to Aaron Macgill for teaching everyone car control today it was an eye opening experience to say the least. And thanks to the other instructor (sorry forgot names again) it was very laid back and enjoyable.

Franz was ripping it up in various cars at some 70 odd degrees continually well done. All of us seemed to get better as the day went on and cannot wait until the next one.

One driver had a slight altercation with a barrier but was okay and only suffered a bruised ego :D :D. Quite a few of us clipped the cones and spinouts were very common.

So thanks all who made today happen and lets do it again real soon.

    Jason

    Cheers Jason.

I had an awesome time. BIG BIG BIG thanks to Caz for organising the day, supplying the food and drink and for trusting me with her zed.

Was my first time on a wet skid pan and I enjoyed it thoroughly, wear and tear on the car is kept to a minimum and fun is always on the maximum! Just a shame the water flowing across the concrete wasn't even making big differences in grip levels depending where on the skidpan you were.

After not driving spirited since last year it took me a bit to get back into it, but damn it was good fun. Gotta love those figure 8's.

The barrell challenge at the end was awesome, building competition amongst the guys that hung around til the end. Just a shame we couldn't run an eliminator type event to finish the day off.

BIG thanks must also go to Grant (StrokeMeCefi), Geoff (Tokyo Geoff), Brett (Not on the forum, but I'll refer to him as Little Wizard!) and finally again to Caz (Caz1) for letting me drive their pride and joys.

I'll definately be back and with my own car next time!!! I'll post pics when I go through them and when I'm back in Perth.

    Cheers.

Ho hum, just like another day at work

    :D :D :D
No good fun day had by all, great to see everyone improving their skill level as the day went on.
Big thanks to Caz for organising the day, well done.
Easiest days motor sport you can do, easy on the driver and easy on the car, as your not chewing up the tyres or over heating the car with plenty of rest time in between.
Thanks to son Brett (Ring-in-180) for letting me tag team the 180sx with him, as mine wont be ready for some time yet, they are an awesome car, it was out in every session and just keep on keeping on.
Good to catch up with Franz again, hope you enjoyed your time east, have a safe trip back and will see you next time your over.
So yeh thanks again Caz, and to everyone who missed out, make sure you get in early next time.:)

Good reason to keep the window closed.

Firstly, The sunburn... WELL worth the fun I had!!! Concrete + Water + Power Over = Smiles all round... Everyone spun at least once, but who cares, everyone got more in touch with their car and the experience although at times, talking while driving was difficult, was invaluable, so thanks to our instructors and of course Franz, for giving some of us some tips on the day. :)

The company of all the people there and the added company of the Carrera Cup cars and what could only be described as orgasmic sounds of the Ferrari F430 Race car screaming round the track was mind blowing!!

So for now... below are a few pics that made the album. Didn't really take many, just was enjoying the day too much!!!

Im so glad everyone had a great day :) ... Its just so much fun and a great platform to learn more about our cars and their behaviour. Some great pics there guys. Keep them coming.. :D

Congrats to Nathan in the R32 Skyline(Bezerkly's young mech apprentice) for taking home the $200 prize money put up by 'Rational Racing' for most improved driver over the day.

There were a few drivers mentioned by the instructors as having exceptional skill with their cars , Jesse aka ZBOOST in the Red Zed with the drift wing was certainly a standout, well done Jesse :D :D

Franz, what can I say.... just awesome driving, you made my car look sweet out there :zlove: :zlove:

Huge thankyou to all who participated :zlove:

Next one we might do an evening session 5pm to 9pm, that would be sweet for our cars as the weather warms up.

    Cheers,
    Caz.. :p

No problems with having no nose at all on... :)

I have found that both times on the skid pan my car is much happier temp wise with the nose panel removed.

    Very jealous yet again.

This would probably be the thing I most want to do in my Z in terms of track work. I don't feel at all confident sideways.
