    Hey Peeps,

My brakes seem to work a lot better at speeds above 100, is that normal or is there a problem?

    Cheers

    they are cooler

thats because your brake rotor's and calipers are cooler at those speeds.the only problem i can see you having is if they dont work at over 100:p :p :D

    What pads are you running?

Do they work better after several hard stops?

No Idea what pads they are, as they were on the car when I got it.

And it's all the time (i.e. even when the parts are cool).

    Better description of the problem:
When travelling slowely I need to use more pedal force than when travelling fast - it does not feel like every other car I have driven(at slow speed)

it will depend on the pad

race pads dont work very well just driving around the street, they need to get up to temperature before they will work effectively. it could be that you have a set of high performance pads.

Booster works better with higher vacuum

Fitting a Chili BMCyl brace helps enormously with pedal feel & response.

Get some good pads, Bendix Ultimates or RaceBrakes, front and rear [especially rears as if still OEM pads they do stuff all].
