What's the most powerful engine you have ever driven?

Me? IHI V12 Twin Turbo'd Diesel, 6.2 Litres per Cylinder, 5200KW @ 500RPM : )

I've downgraded these days to a Blackstone V12 Twin Turbo Diesel, 1.5 litre per cylinder, 1900KW @ 900RPM

My car is the most powerful thing I have driven at the moment...

But hopefully within about6-8 months I might get to step up to the PC-9 which I think has about 900hp of Turbo prop... mmmmmmmm... turboprop...

 

I used to opperate haul-packs

for Mt newman mineing in WA up north. They weighted 120tons unloaded 240T loaded, loading was done by a 2600ph shovel, 50ton bucket. The engine was a 149T GM V12 produceing 1200hp @ 1400rpm.

 

Hey, I built the 3 original PC-9 simulators. The electronics, wiring, electromechanicals and the fitting of that shit to the cockpit!!

 

11,187 pounds thrust.

I have flown in an A4 Skyhawk, 11,187 pounds of thrust!!

I dont know what torque this thing put out but it twisted and launched like a motherf#*$R , running straight out of extractors too .. ridiculously loud , a real neighbour pleaser.hahahaha

Converted all the wheels to space savers
