what is stronger? vg30dett gearbox or rb25det gearbox?

hey all,

my bro is building a rb30det and wants to know what would be a better box, a TT zed box or the rb25 one? any ideas

I'd say RB25 box as it will be an easier fit IIRC - the VG30 box has a different bellhousing i think

 

The internals of a Z32 TT box are the same as

The R32 GTR box. You should be able to interchange the internals if you are lucky.

 

are you sure

the gtr is allwheel drive which makes a massive difference to the transmission,or so i thought anyway..........
not trying to flame i just find it hard to beleive that a awd atessa system could be the same as our simple rear drive

 

r32 and z32

are almost the same boxes and i was told this from a firend who works at JUN

 

so the r32 gtr box and the zed box have almost the same internals? but the r32 gtr runs a rb26 doesnt it? which is a stronger box, the rb25det or the vg30dett?

 

VG30dett is a stronger box.

R32gtr box is stronger than a gtst box.

Since the vg30dett box is almost identical to that of the gtr its pretty easy to work out.
