My pajero has more than 10 stick all around the body panels which I want to get rid of. I have gone thru Tech section and past posts but cant find any info about this. Are there any ways to remove the stickers without damaging existing paintwork or scratch? And also, after removing them what sort of cut n polish product will rejuveniate the colour? Any tips will be appreciated
Yep! Hairdryer is the goods. Soften the glue with gentle heat, then peel the stickers off. Wipe over the surface that the stickers were on with a gentle solvent (Turps is best) then polish and wax for a final shine.
Re: Yep! Hairdryer is the goods. What happens if you have tried peeling a sticker off and it leaves that white shit behind... One bad thing about going to the Hanging Rock Cruise they stuck the sticker on the paint the retards!!
De-Solve-It Awesome stuff, gets rid of all that sort of stuff, even chewing gum etc... Is natrual citrus base too so won't damage paintwork :thumbsup::thumbsup: -Can get from Bunnings
That's the idea behind using a solvent after removing the sticker... Because the glue is softened, some will be on the sticker, some will remain on the paint. Use one of the solvents mentioned (the solvent will almost always also remove the wax and polish on the paint, leaving it dull), then re-polish and wax the affected paintwork. Should come up like new!
