what number should

    be on the ecu...i just bought an ecu and it has the number 22 on it...just wondering if this means somthing? i want to put it onto a 94 TT...

    anyone know what this number means? and if it is for a z?

    What is the full part no.?

    You can plug it in and interrogate the ECU via Datascan/Conzult.

    22
    NISSAN 23710 41 PO3
    A18-000 M04 9Z05

    ra ra ra
    made in japan...

    Chewy or Zcar91 may offer more info...

    Looks like JSpec 89/90 TT Manual ecu.

    Yeah, i'm pretty sure the 22 is for manual / 21 is for auto g'boxes...

    although, it doesn't matter if you interchange them.

    - eg, i have a manual gearbox, but running an ECU out of an Auto.

    You can run an auto ecu in a man, but not the other way round.

    ECU labels for 89/90 TT...>>

    is 22 manual and 23 auto.

    I swapped with RedTT my Manual 22 for his Auto 23.
    They seem to be running fine.
    Except now the drivers side window in his is a little flakey, Pretty sure it's not related though :thumbsup:

    You're right Markos - auto ECU is OK in a manual.

    Also, ECU does not need to be changed with auto to manual conversion.
