Cowra is a lovely place, very friendly.
A couple of other places of interest are the Japanese Gardens & the WWII Internment Camp Site for Prisoners of War. The best part for me though is, its only a 2hr drive.:thumbsup::LOL::LOL:

okay, just checked the prices

Apparently this rebate scheme applies only to a discount of $150 per car, so after the discount the price is $59 if the car is less than 2 metres wide and 5 metres long (over 5m is $99) never measured the length of the car, but i'll assume it is less than 2m x 5m (let me know if i'm wrong)

hang on, just realised the prices are one way. $180 one way, includes dinner and brunch... whoa, has that just blown the budget???!!!

I don't know anything about the 'spirit of tasmania' boat or how far it transports cars, but if it reaches queensland (or even northern NSW) i'd be happy to drive to the port and cruiZe down 'boat style' to TAS - and yes folks ... i'd spend the entire trip at the bar... :LOL:

HaylZ - looks like your the main girl with this idea, it may pay to do a little more research on this - including the ports it stops at - and pricing...

have just called the lovely people at Spirit of Tasmania

The boat sails from Sydney only, still a big drive for Qld'ers
