That seems very very quick for a non turbo... Im borrowing a Gtech today so I'll give it a crack tonight and post my result.

    when i had a g-tech, i got a 6.28 in my non-turbo

didn't believe it so i did another and got a 6.22, did another and got 6.31. so either my non-turbo is fast, or g-tech's are pretty shitty. that was without my SAFC, extractors, flywheel etc

Thats very quick for a NA, before my TT goes in, want to do the same thing, maybe a before and after comparison :)

meh g-techs are shit... set it to go, and drive around a car park.

you will see it doesnt start timing while ur going under a certain speed (remembering its only a accelerometer).

if you get wheelspin, its good! providing u dont get too much, you can use that wheel spin (while not moving) to get up to your peak torque/boost giving you a far better 0-100/1/4mile time.

in my auto Na sil, i lost over a second on my 0-100, by revving it up in neutral and dropping it to drive (wheel spin). and yes i know it fucks ya gearbox, thats why i bought a gearbox first so this ones just for shits n giggles.

i can't wait to see the result of your conversion

a TT with a NA diff would be absolutely insane, absolutely no lag and shiteloads of power. when you do the conversion, are you gonna do like a lightweight flywheel and split flange dumps? they would also make a massive difference! instant boost!

yeah i think they are really in-accurate. only real way to test your car

is to go down the quarter, which i will be doing soon, hopefully:thumbsup:

    Yeah cookie

Got big plans for it, including dumps eventually and most likely the lightened flywheel in the future :)

Hehe, instant boost = more fuel consumption!

The SAFC gave me 30 horses at the rear wheels on a NA, wonder what it'll do to the TT :D

    Re: Yeah cookie

Factory specifications are generally at 7.0 seconds for the N/A and ~5.8 for the TT. So I would say after 16 years a 7.5sec 0-100 would be an acceptable result :)

Hail the Porker! Are you sure you don't mean 996 though?

I'm pretty sure the 936 was a race car? And it was rear wheel drive...although I don't claim to be the definitive source on Porsches. Still the power figure sounds about right...

Fairly sure it is 936 but hey could be 996. Whatever the AWD TT is.

The guy who bought it new sent it str8 to Fitzgerald in Canberra and spent another 80K in it with roll cages, custom carbon rear wing, huge intercoolers etc. Blows my mind.
    1st gear is a blur, 2nd gear...blur .

Got pulled over by the cops and let it sit idling..sounds like it just wants to be raced. I'm sure while I was standing there I could here it talking to me>>>flog me>>>flog me.
I reckon the copper just wanted a look over it cause there was no other reason for pulling me over...except the phone reports of a silver blur in the local area.
One nice car...wish it was mine.

Haha sounds like a blast...my Dad almost bought a 930 Turbo...

Until Mum stepped in and was like...yeah I don't think so. Now he has to wait untill we have all flown the coop. If it's a turbo awd it has to be 993 or later...I think. Nobody quote me on that. My Dad's passion for the Poker has been inherited and one day I will own one.
