Re: Are you sure they are fixed point-to-point? Well if you have a good look at them. they are very different than the other Cameras they have in place. They look more like video cameras, without flashes as well which implys they are Infra Red for night use. Maybe someone else can clear this up. Are they point to point or just speed cameras?
ok lets say your going 65, they have to deduct 2km off the speed as a buffer, then arent you allowed to have 3km over the speed limit? so 65 - 2 = 63 = legal.. or have the laws changed? i mean honestly, fined for 3km over? you could sneeze and blip the throttle with your foot and break 3km in a split second.. hardly worth 135 bucks, id take it to court
NSW certainly have point-to-point cameras on the Hume my my reading of the associated signs suggests they only apply to trucks. Stand to be corrected.
ok so the 3km thing, but then theres the 2km discrepency, they label it as "actual speed" and deduct 2km, so 65km should be safe..
No tolerance speed restrictions...>> ...is a product of a growing movement, called Vision Zero. Vision Zero...be worried... Aparently, Victoria has adopted this with glee...(no, its for saftey...really....revenue has nothing to do with it...) GT
