Re: Bad new mates, but glad that you are ok i wasnt there so i wouldnt know, but a dude was killed in the back streets of canning vale a couple of months ago because two guys were racing at around 140km/hr, this guy was leaving work, pulled out because the car looked miles away, but they come up pretty quick on you at that speed, t-boned the guy and killed him, (safe distance at 60km/hr is a pretty small gap at 140) and because the other car didnt hit you, you will never know if he was speeding or where he came from (out of nowhere i bet) i dont think anyone ever mentioned the car behind as at fault either
what do you mean I don't know what I'm on about? It sounds like pr0phet is a defensive driver, looked at an intersection and ended up crashing his car to avoid an accident, the other driver keeps driving away and he's left with a $4000 repair bill and cost of a bus stop. Why would I be looking to blame somebody? I was just asking if guy that nearly t-boned him was speeding. If there was an accident chances are pr0phet would have to fork over the cash for the repairs. Same thing happened to a friend of mine, pulled out at a t-intersection, got t-boned and had to pay for the damages, even though the other driver was speeding. At least pr0phet is alive, which is the important thing.
Re: Price? Yeah definitely post pics mate. Sorry to hear about what happened! Best of luck getting back on the road though!
He stacked the car on his own Trying to outrun some idiot or drag racing and then failing to give way at an intersection is no excuse to try to shift the blame to someone else at all cost. I am really glad your not hurt but if you drive like that then too bad you got what is inevitable from driving like that. A self fullfilling prophecy.
Don't read me the wrong way mate... But if your friend "pulled out" at an intersection and failed to recognise the other car was traveling at higher than the posted speed limit, doesn't make it any less than his fault... sure if it helps you sleep in the hospital bed at night then you could contemplate the what ifs. Fact is pr0phet isn't making any excuses for his actions and as I stated earlier I'm very sorry for what happened. He accepts that he made a mistake and was fortunate enough to live and learn from it...we should all hope to be so lucky (or learn from the mistakes of others)... Again man I hope your Z lives to see the road again. Cheers Adam.
sorry prophet it wasn't directed at you mate. Its intended for donoryan who thought you should blame some guy minding his own business. Mate you cant drive like that and expect no consequences. I'm sorry but thats how it is.Once again I'm glad your OK,maybe you might pick up a cheap car from the esplanade on the coast as there is always cash strapped tourists looking for their fare home.
Sorry to hear the news Sam I'm just home from 24hrs on VMR duty & can make time tomorrow (or tuesday) after midday to inspect. PM me with address & appropriate time.
What fines??? Why would you lose your licence?? I thought no other vehicle was involved, damage wise. 'Striking a Stationary Bus Stop' is not a legitimate traffic infringement, as far as I know.:LOL:
you'll probably get pinged with a neg driving fine it's tradition don't ya know? automatic fine for anyone involved in and accident involving no other cars. 3 points and a few hundred bucks. thats all they can really give you
Re: you'll probably get pinged with a neg driving fine where are these pics? i'm a bit morbid, but i like to see what were talking about
PROPHET, how could you ..!! picking on a poor defenceless bus stop ... good luck with the aftermath .. trust all goes well for you...
Re: PROPHET, how could you ..!! picking on a poor defenceless bus stop Did you at least yell "All Aboard!" when you hopped out to view the bus stop?
