Can i paint my brake calipers with heat proof BBQ paint?

    1} And do i need to put anything else as a undercoat?
    2} Is there such thing as heat proof clear paint too?

    xpenZive Car nearly all gone :-)

    There would be no reason why you couldn't, why not just go to Super Cheap Auto and but a can of caliper paint for $15, comes in a few colors too. :)

    If you do use the BBQ paint you may need to use a primer if it is not self priming. I have never seen heat proof clear coat. But you never know!

    Caliper paint doesnt have the "350z Brembo Bronze Colour."

    Has anyone tried BBQ paint with success???


    What have you guys used??

    Hey AK where you get the bbq paint from, brand/code/etc

    I have a mate who is looking for that colour also.

    Is it heat rated to a certian temperature?

    High Temp Clear Coat ...

    VHT do a Clear Gloss Hi Temp Engine Enamel which is rated to 550°F, 288°C. I bought it to paint the cam covers so I don't know if it is compatible with their Caliper Paint which is rated to 900°F, 490°C. I didn't look to see if there was a Clear Gloss caliper paint on the shelf.
