Another question about wiring up gauges.

Howdy,
I need to run a wire from the back of a elec temp gauge to "Ignition switch" may i ask what is and where do i find the ignition switch?:wacko::unsure:

I think thats where you put the ignition key:wacko:

 

Ignition switch wiring colors

Blue = accessory wire on ign switch
Black/Red = ignition wire on ign switch
White wire = constant 12v wire on ign switch

gauge wiring

just a question for interest sake,
when you say the ingnition wires do you mean the wiring that comes out of the stereo luhm or is there another place 2 tap into ?

 

Accessory wire feeds ... umm - 'accessories'...

 

Stereo is usually hooked up to accessory wires behind it

ignition wire is located behind ignition switch... see my post above re colors

 

If your car has a radio/cassette whatever then it will already be wired

up to the accessory side of the ignition and all you would have to do is pull out the radio , find the big red wire:LOL: and connect into that wire (preferably upstream of the fuse for the radio)

That should save you from pulling your ign switch cover etc apart.
