I just installed some new bulbs for my headlights last night. (H3c 12v 55w Xenons - super white)

    2 issues

    1) they are whiter and brighter than my stockies which were almost yellow. There is a noticable difference when I drove around with them. Anyway, after the drive (about 15 min or so) I noticed this weird smell from my lights when I stopped. (almost like burning) Is this normal?

    2) does anyone have issues with the damned clips (in the lights). I got them on last night but took them off when there was this smell and I cant seem to put them back on again. Is there a particular way to do this? I tried for over 1/2 hour and it's driving me insane! (not to mention some pretty sore fingers from trying to press the clip in.)

Finally (this is not an issue) I found a guy who sells bulbs for a good price and they are pretty good. I got my super white H4s (for my U13 bluebird) a few months ago and they are working great and now I got my H3Cs super white for $15 a pair. I will have to ask his permission before I put his name on here but to those interested in getting any bulbs for their cars I can give you his contact (via PM) and apparently for bulk orders he has free delivery (for the whole of Australia)

Ok I have permission to post the details here

    The website is

    Bulbs for Sale

All the details are provided in there so if anyone is interested in getting some bulbs, feel free to email or call him. I have told him that forum members will contact him so hopefully he will give a better price.

Apparently he has H3C super whites in 100w as well! (as I noticed in one of the prior posts that someone was complaining that the lights arent too bright on the Z and a reply was the H3Cs only come in 55w.... but anyway, this is news to me as well!)

Anyway, I still have not gotten the bloody clip in... gonna be trying it this evening after work again... if anyone has any idea on a "specific" method of getting the clip in let me know.

Use screwdriver to put the clips in by pushing the top bit with it
