I got booked in QLD for this =>

I was driving another car that had fog lights and got booked $30 and 1 point. It was night time and the cop said there was no fog around and there is no need to have them on.

Just as well, cos I use mine as much as I possibly can.

Adding jspec fogs was the best mod I ever made to my Aus spec.

Yep. Same here. Can't see a damn thing without them!

And I'd be amazed if the Z lights have enough illumination to dazzle anyone! Heaps of people I've noticed around Hobart drive with their driving lights on, never heard/seen anyone been pulled up for it down here.

on the other end of the scale

I got done last week for driving 100meters on parkers instead of headlights (simple mistake)

    $140 and a demerit point.

"Hey mate, your lights aren't on!" ... that wouldn't make any money though, would it?

I got out of it both times I had mine on BUT

the actual fine and circumstances are as follows...>>>

Driving in non adverse weather conditions with park lights and fog lights on = 1 point and $100

Driving with Headlights and fog lights on is $100 and 3 points.

When I got pulled over I've always been in suit and in my ute so I guess this helped, but second time I was pulled over the Senior cop told me in adverse weather is good enough reason to have them on, not sure if I want to test the grey area there though. The most concerning is the 3 points, or even 1 point, couldn't give a toss about the $$$, just the points that would hurt.
