at the servo and reatached it, does anyone know what it does or is for. Could it be something to do with my boosting.

And does anyone know if this is an updated computer and if so how come it didnt come up on conzult and is there anything I can do with it, does anyone know if the settings have to be changed to get more potentional out of it. (really not Sure).

It has company that says since 1993 and my cars a 89 model so it has to be an update.

Just trying to get the car in to the test mode. Is both plugs i need to attach both at the drivers foot well or as it says in teck article one of the computer plugs to the one under the drivers foot well.

    Any help cheers.

Your picture shows a join and that is where one is commonly fitted to fit a boost controller.
As for the ECU the sticker, it shows someone has played with it, probably tweaking the chip. It may not show up on consult. It may or may not be beneficial. It all depends on the expertise of the tuner and fuel it was tuned for.

so I done the right thing in reattaching it, where that white tube is...

those 2 hoses where just sitting there unattached.

and car has not been boosting properly lately.

None of those hoses go to the power steering unit do they.

    Cheers

    ZXZ32T is correct

That vac hose has nothing to do with power steer & EVERYTHING to do with boost.

As for the ECU, no ideas - never heard that name. How's yr fuel economy? You may be better off with an OEM chip or locally tuned one to suit 98RON.

Thanks guys, yea fuel economy bad...250km to 300km to a tank..

changed 02 sensors getting a new CTS plug. And still bad fuel economy. This car is a bit of a mystery of what was in it with what is still in it differnt gear box, roll cage, this computer, kakimoto exhaust and a few other things.
So im just tryen to work it all out.
Just wanted to make sure about that hose as I was just about to go out.

    Thanks every one.

If that hose really shouldn't be disconected...no...really it shouldn't

correct me if I'm wrong but if that hose was off then essentially there is very little stopping your RH turbo from spooling up to dangerous levels, plus you'd also have it losing boost thru the hole in the inlet piping, it's a endless cycle jojo...

thats why I thought I'd check because I went from having no...

boost then they found the bracket had come loose and all of a sudden I have heaps of boost then a week later Im back to not haveing much boost at all again, thinking its something to with the CTS plug but if you guys are right I have been only boosting with one turbo. Does that hose nornally have a clip around it.
Its funny since I got my car back I have been finding alot of hoses of, vacuum hose at top right of motor this hose that came of and the windscreen sprayer hose (not that that one makes much difference.)

Any who I pray to the gods my car is okay

    Cheers

    No Boost?

If the car does not get any positive pressure, it sounds like a massive air leak. Wrong vac. lines or bad electricals should give less power. Sometimes things get complicated where aftermarket components are fitted and later removed. This gives hoses and wires that are no longer relevant.

it sounds like air leaking around that area where I plugged that hose in,

like a lot of air. but cant find where its leaking from.
Also when boosting the stock gauge is not maxing out so it must still be safety boost.

    Cheers Ryno

Get an aftermarket boost guage, the factory one is not accurate

My guage reads right up to 7 (which converts to about 13-14PSI) despite fact that I run with no additional boost and my aftermarket guage shows 9.5...

I also test drove Newbie's new zed last night which is in safety boost as verified by aftermarket guage yet the factory one still showed around 6 (approx 12PSI)...

Get a boost leak check done ... or make up a tester yourself here courtesy of BlueZ

can any one tell in this photo if this will cause a vacuum leak....

I know its a bad photo but that tube is at the front drivers side tyre about an arms length away.
It so hard to see under the car with no jack and car to low.
