You just lost your licence for 2 months, you can't get finance to buy the car of your dreams because you have no financial history and although you have been after this car for over 6 months, do not appear to have saved anything in the way of a decent deposit? Now you are trying to find out if anyone here knows someone who will help you break the law by using trade plates to go cruising in an unregistered car you don't own yet?

    Here is some advice.

Become responsible once you get your licence back and try not to lose it again. Learn to save money and create a financial history by getting a credit card and always paying it off before it is due. With you bad driving history insurance on a zed is going to be a nightmare for you, so maybe rethink the purchase. They are not cheap cars to drive and maintain so if you cant learn to budget you will be constantly poor, or worse, in debt. This is not how you want to be at 18.

If I remember right. In order for any motor car trader to issue trade plates to any driver to "test drive" a car. Their licence has to be sighted and recorded for registration purposes.

You shit out of luck dude!

You may as well get a texta and draw your own !

mate you should audition for fat pizza...

or if you were in vic i'd expect u to be driving back and forth through bell st maccas.

not wanting to be racist or stareotyping... you sound like a typical "ali" or "muhammad" lebo guy that lives in st albans or broadmedows that does everything he can to break the law.

people on this forum are mostly sensible guys... i've learnt a lot from this forum on maturity and being sensible... i'm not sayin i'm perfect or anyone on the forum is perfect... every1 breaks laws but there's breaking a law accidently or a small thing here and not doing it again and again... and there's asking on a public forum how you can do something very highly illegal.

i reckon you should get a VL turbo add a FMIC so you get the DOO DOO DOO... and go "watch this bro..." and show off on chaps.

VIC people will get this post more than non-VIC people...

    cheers,
    Sammy

I agree...poor and in debt at 24 is bad enough  let alone 18

but then i go by the philosophy that the man with the most toys wins...

    also, with trade plates

    a) they're only issued to those who are lisenced dealers (in legal cars)...so unless you are a dealer, which i assume you are not...you will have to steal them, which is bad, wrong, just don't do it ok?

    b) if by chance you are a dealer (in legal cars) then they cost an absolute fortune, and seeing your looking for finance for you zed i gather you can't afford them.

Looks like your outa luck on both counts

    Also as a note

I was 17 when i first fell in love with the zed, I am now 24 and have the experience and stability to own such a car. Those 7 years were painful yes.

Buy a Kombi with your mates, travel around fixing it in the middle of the bush on wild surf safari's and shag hot chicks in the back. Blow each pay check on booze and crash out in the back while your out pubbing. Being 18 is not about biting of more than you can chew with the banks, Hell I'm 24 and I've gotta sobor up before tomorrows bbq...
    gnight, and fairwell.

If you get the zed, welcome, If ya don't I'm sure we'll see ya around cause true love dosn't die :D

previous owner claims 375kw at the wheels without the additional injectors and at only 12 PSI, however when the 2 additional injectors are hooked up and boost is wound upto around 1.5 bar , 450kw @ the wheels should be possible.

DAMN MAN 450KW @ THE WHEELS!!!!
I must be doing something wrong with the track car only pulling 385kw @ the wheels with a lot of mods??

    :p:p:p:p

    Hangabout...is that all his mods?

seeing i can't be bothered looking...375rwkw, with standard turbos and injectors? plus where do the 2 additional injectors go? I'm confused, is that another 2 cylinders as well?
    soooo confused...

if this is possible sign me up for almost 400rwkw on stocko blowers and squirters.

Wasn't he asking for finance to be able

to get the zed? But he already has it??

If thats all the mods the car has then i'd say he got duped if he thinks it can get 375kW @12psi. It needs major elaboration

When I was 18, I had this complete preoccupation with owning a

Bolwell Mk 7 (yep I'm that old). I bought every magazine that had an article on them, followed them if I ever saw one on the road, and drove to Melbourne to visit the factory where the body kits were being made.

The financial realities of that car at that time, including the never to be overlooked insurance, meant it was all a silly dream.

I grew up and got over it, you should too.

    ahhh...

just for the record guys, i was talking about gettin sum trade plates after i get my licence back.

    2. u'll notice that i wrote "previous owner claims 375 - 450 kw" not that i have tested it or anything
all those claims are from the previous owner, not me.

and secondly i'm payin off the car to the guy, thats why i have no deposit. he has the money, i just want to get a loan so that i can just pay him the rest of the money, get it registered, and drive the damn thing.

    3. i am going to get a personal loan, not a car loan because in sa, you can't get a loan against a grey import, and if you do get a loan against a car, it has to be less than 7 years old.

    oh and by the way

im actually a white aussie, who is a sensible driver, and only breaks the law when it is safe to do so.
i lost my licence because of unpaid fines. i got these fines coz the idiot i sold my old car to, didn't transfer the cars registration into her name, and got caught speeding a few times. then all these fines were sent to me...at my old address
so dont prejudge me as sum sort of lebo moron in a god damn commodore tryin to be an outlaw.

Re: oh and by the way

then you can take that up with them and say it was not you driving and hand over her details, also mentioning that you had "sold" the car..

Its you best interest to make sure it was transferred..
