Ok, I've taken the caps off, undone and removed the top bolts but can't seem to get the windscreen wipers off still... I want to get them off to replace the cowling. Does anyone know the secret... or is it just pull harder (dont' want to break them). Is there a locking mechanism???
Easy >>> Put the nut back on at least 3 turns. You need to apply upward pressure from under the wiper arm whilst tapping the nut gently with a hammer.
I recently removed mine to re-spay the wipers and replace the cowls... You'll find that they won't budge when the wipers are folded up. Take the nuts off, lay the wipers flat against the windscreen and they should come off easy
yes, have the windscreen wipers in their normal position touching the windscreen. I found the easiest way to remove them was to push down on the windscreen arm (they are spring loaded) with one hand and then pull the arm off of the bolt with the other.
