Hi Everyone! I just thought that I would share my pleasing experience that I had with TTF in Maroochydore today. The store has recently changed hands and the new manager is friendly, outgoing and very helpful. He personally lined up all the wheels I wanted to look at beside my car and when I found what I wanted they put one on my car complete with tyre before I committed. I also got better tyres than what they normally sell in the package for the same price and I got a discount on the lock nuts and I'll get a free wheel alignment when my suspension is fixed. I also got free coffee, and got to watch a drift/drag/show DVD whilst I waited. We also had a chat about the concept of an open day with free stuff and a show and shine, etc once he's settled in (that I agreed I'd "advertise" on the forum  ). He also showed me his mate's fully worked Silvia that is pushing 320rwkw, that he goes racing in (and it's got a show car interior). They also took a photo of my car for the customer's cars section. Overall it was a very good experience and they all seemed to know exactly what they were doing. Now for the results (very nice IMO): Cheers, Shaun (Grenfel).
Looks good Shaun I use to have a set of those rims  Did you need to use spacer or was the off-set of the rim fine? Jono
I hope they didn't use spacers! After all I was going through this whole procedure so that I could be legal... But I don't believe they needed to. It is a fairly standard wheel and they are only 8inches wide so I'd be surprised. Shaun.
a good experience and an excellent choice ... well done shaun ..they look tops ... black baz ( barry o'donnell)
Paint on the wheels matches the paint on the car... The paint on the wheels (you may have missed it at first glance but it is there) to an untrained eye (such as mine) is a match to the Charcoal Pearl paint on my car. "Looks like a custom job" (the manager of TTF after fitting). Thanks for the feedback guys. I love the wheels and it's nice to know that other people like them too. Actually on the shelf I didn't like them - I thought they looked "too much" - but the manager insisted that I try them next to the car - and he was right! And now the car is fully legal (at least to my knowledge).
Great choice Better looking than those 20s imo, plus you have nothing to worry about now with mr. plod ....apart from the NOS, bovs, heat-seeking missiles & illicit substances in the glovebox cheers, rich
Awesome looking Zed now Grenfel Looks a treat and much better than the 20" rims that were on it. Cheers MikeZ
Great set of rims Thats a sweet looking ride now Grenfel how are you likeing having your own Z to ride in
I didn't really settle on tyres They just came "as a package". The tyres provided are Federal 595s. I hadn't even heard of them and know nothing about them but the *cough* practicial tests *cough* seem to prove that they are pretty good. I've yet to try it in the wet though. My last tyres (just temporary ones on stock rims) got me into some trouble in the wet - and yes - I was taking it easy. :embarrassed: Cheers, Shaun (Grenfel).
How do I like having my own Zed? I think it goes a little something like this: OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG!!!! (Imagine me running around the lounge room saying that with a stupid grin on my face...) She keeps surpising me with just how well she can go around corners now that I've got some decent rubber under her. I've had about 18 litres of adrenalin pump through my bloodstream since I got the new wheels yesterday! Or to summarise: :zlove: Cheers, Shaun (Grenfel).
