Clutch fan no good.

I've had intermitten overheating and been told that the clutch fan is no good and that I need a new Fanhub. Engine stripped down to replace it at mechanics but mechanic is unable to find a new Fanhub anywhere in or outside the country. Can any one help.
Any idea how much it will set me back ?

He has one from a Nissan Pathfinder which is identical to a Z as I bought the outer fan from him before Christmas.
Not sure on price but probably $40 +

Are you sure a nissan pathfinder is the same as a 1991 300zx TT

Are you sure they are the same and will fit the 300zx TT. ie part numbers identical ?

The mechanic is reluctant to get a second hand one from cresta. He says there is no way to tell if the second hand one is any good and that he needs to put the whole cooling system back together with it in it to test it.

Do they carry good quality parts ?

just re silicon the clutch useing toyota silicon.

and they looked it up. Best to ask your mech what he thinks of quality.

DaviesCraig list a replacement for the CZ32 as part number 2650.

 

I believe it's identical to the VL Commonwhore one>>

probably cheaper from Holden too.
