Wouldn't got to Precise

    yeah it helps if you have all the facts.

    the $2300 extra that i didn't know about was before the head and cam seized.

    then yes i was aware that there would be an additional cost involved to clean up the head and cam and for fitting...i don't expect people to do stuff for free.

    And my story has holes???

    in your first post you said

    "They fixed the problem you wanted fixed, gave you the car back, then you immediately turned the boost right up, went around the block and lo and behold the cam siezed."

    I find it amazing that you said what do i expect when "i" turned the boost up and the cam siezed. When it wasn't me who did that it was Precise...and now beacuse they turned the boost up and the cam siezed could that have damaged a piston???

    hmmmmm does sound like a possibility to me

    now that coming from you and the fact that it wasn't me who did it and it was precise well hmmm maybe that comment shouldn't have been directed at me but Precise.

    Hey Im just telling it like I heard it

    Your the one thats come here telling a very one sided story, giving the company no chance to tell its own side, and not even bothering to mention the problem to them before you try and hurt their business. Im just telling what I heard straight from the mechanics mouth. If you have a problem how about talking to them, or have you still not learnt how to do that?

    I did talk

    to dave about you comment about the cam siezing and he said no one talked to you about the cam siezing and i asked how you knew and he said i don't know.
    i asked him how you knew about the carbon fibre bonnet and he said i dont know. When precise and me are the only ones who have seen the bonnet.

    so apparantly they never talked to you, but you said they have.

    i guess more lies.

    So how can i trust people when i know they are flat out lying. I can't, i'm sorry but i can't.

    And im sure if you were in my position and i told you that what do you expect when you turn up the boost straight away and the cam siezed when you didn't it would raise doubt in your mind that that could be the cause of my piston being damaged.

    doesn't matter now. What done is done and i can't change anything. so i'm going to move on.

    To everyone! It's a free world post anything you like, i say.

    And if some mechanic is trying to get a few thousand dollars extra well he can try, but here are the consequences.

    From my experience some " mechanics " are honest towards some people and on the other hand trying to rip off others. Since there was a few unsatisfied customers reporting from this mechanic i would conclude that there is some truth in there, but than again everyone is covering their own ass.

    P.S for those who dont know, it's not a good thing to redline your car after the engine hasn't even warmed up and not to talk about after the heads have been removed. I doubt that anyone on this forum that knows anything about zed's does this or had a similar problem with mechanics as they would first ask the damned question that follows every zed repair " HOW MUCH".

    So how about before calling them liars as well as cheats you get your facts straight. What line of business are you in WILD?

    NOBODY is doing anybody any favours on here by stating their case/sticking up for someone here so lets drop it. Everyone here knows how everyone else feels.

    got all the facts straight. Dave told me that no one had talked to you not just him. I never said they were cheats. I only said dave lied cause he said no one had talked to you and you said that you had thats all...

    and about the fact that i put the boost up and the head and cam siezed. Now i know i didn't do that and thats what they said so i know that is a lie. So i'm guessing when you lie your a lier???

    ne way i just don't really care any more to be honnest with you. I've had enough.

    All i know is that the car wasn't smoking bad when i took it there and when i got it back there was so much smoke it was like there was a bush fire. and i realise there was lots of oil in the exhaust but i had new dump pipes and front pipes put on and most of the oil would be in the cats and they were removed too. so there shouldn't have taken that long to stopped smoking. but hey i don't know much about cars.

    maybe the piston got damaged when they put the boost up like you said or maybe it's just one of those bad luck things....cause like dave said its a 15 yr old piston...who really knows, either way the piston is stuffed.

    I posted when i was angry and hadn't talked to dave and that was wrong and wish i never did.

    regardless car running well or not.
    It was still heaps more than i thought it would be.

    Dave never kept me posted about how much extra parts and labour was costing

    he never once called i always had to call him.

    tried to get how much extra part was costing and adding up too but for weeks i never got that info

    at the end of the day if the car was running perfect i still wouldn't go back cause of the service. And service is what sells. repeative business and word of mouth.

    to be confused with K-Zed;).. Ahh well we look similar I guess, similar age, identical zeds (except transmissions), although there's no confusing who has the skinniest white legs is there?
