Is anyone using "Formula Ferodo" brake pads?

Apparently they're a relatively new release, and are supposed to offer good feel and braking when 'cold' (ie cruising around at low speeds) as well as a rated temperature of 650C.

I'll be replacing front pads soon, as the current set (stock) have never been the same since the last track day. I was going to use Bendix ultimates at around $80?, and a rated temp of 550C, but I have been offered a set of these Formula Ferodo pads for around $150.

I think I'll steer clear of EBC pads until more is known about their 'new' products, and whether they do or don't last, and whether they are dusty or not. I just finished reading thorugh a "Brake pads" search, and it seems everyone has had a different experience.

If anyone is going to recommend another brand or type of pad, I'd appreciate comments on pedal feel and pad performance on cold pads, as well as rated pad temperatures.

    Thanks all,

You can't go past Bendix Ultimates!

Especially if the car is street driven 95% of the time. Bang for buck they are superior to everything on the market.

The $70 worth of value for an extra 100 degrees the pads can handle is not worth it. 550 degrees is pretty damn hot; brake lines and fluid generally are past their efficiency to effectivly use full capabilities of the pads themselves.

I generally stay clear of EBC in general; my previous experience with their performance of the blacks, greens and reds were average at best.

Personally, I deal with the dust (the Ultimates real downfall) and live with having a cheap and very effective brake pad.

EBC yellows are very good though >>>

with only DBA slotted rotors and EBC yellow stuff pads, my car out brakes most other cars on the track.
