me and my mate like to cruize together he has a white skyline on buddy club P1 rims and i have a white zed on buddy club P1 rims. when we cruize together i get most of the attention specialy when the t-tops are off, but my mates skyline has ultra loud spool and when he gives it all the attention diverts to him, anywayz im not an attention seeker but the question is how do i make the zed spool louder, i have a razo filter fitted, the skyline has a k&n filter everything else stock, i was thinking replacing that panel between the headlights with a vented one will that help and if so how much are they and where can i get one.
I would say... his spools louder because he has a bigger turbo than you. The stock Zed turbos are pretty small really, and the stock GTST turbo is quite big from photos I have seen. Put on screamer pipes. That will get you some attention. (Mostly from the police though...)
Hey Zedkid >>> Any chance that you will be at either the dyno day in Bulleen, or at Jedi's tech day in Hoppers Crossing? Buddy Club P1's are on my list of wanna-buy stuff, and I'd like to see what they look like on a Z. By the way, is your Z white or black? Profile says black, above post says white.
RB engines just have really loud spool up sounds.... even my mum's RB20DET totally stock Cefiro with standard airbox is louder than my Z, which sucks a lot more air. Add an aftermarket filter and RB's are always really loud, it actually used to get a bit annoying when I had an R33 for a while. Z's on the other hand are pretty quiet with the filter underneath the front nose panel, just the nature of the beast. Ben
Mikey hey man ill be at both the tech day and the dyno... i do have a white zed, this profile was created when i was looking for a zed and at the time black was what i wanted... the P1s look mad on the car u can check it out at the dyno day... they are abit scrached though (parallel parking accident). about the dyno day, can i just come and watch or do i have to enter my car? P.S. what about the panel should i change it, what are the benefits
You can just come along and watch.....>> You don't have to go on the dyno if you don't want. As for the panel, there will be a number of cars there with diferent panels so you can ahve a look and see what you like. I have a Stillen ducted panel you can try on your car if you would like but I doubt it will make it any louder.
