Contact K-Zed b4 you buy, he has succesfully found alternate rad hoses for around ten bucks!!! (mazda 929 from memory but check with him). A real bright spark!... puty bout the hairline but that's another story... K-Zed details
When getting parts ready for my 100k service which is not due yet i found Repco didnt list rad hoses for the 300 but after going to a small dealer looked through his books and found that a mob called Mackay Rubbers make them and went back to repco and spoke to them about it and got the top hose for $30 and bottom for $68 which is half price compared to local nissan dealership. Im happy with that price anyone else found cheaper than that?
hey could u please gimme the part no. for those hoses.... because i need mine done aswell. wat other hoses do i need for the 100 000k service?
Stickers have been removed Just went out to the garage to check and found stickers have been removed of the hoses , ask the misses and she said it looked crap with the stickers so she took them off, if they had of been on the car i could understand but they are just on the bench anyway just go to repco and tell them that they are available from Mackay rubbers and they will order them for you. There is a picture on the catalogue they have just ask them to show you before ordering. And if you find out the other hoses let me know cause i need to get them aswell.
NA top radiator hose for $6 >>> here! I've answered a few emails so for the record:- An early Mazda 929 lower rad hose Gates#05-0522 @ $6 fits an NA perfectly with shortening to both ends. It has the correct end diameters to suit the Zed! It may also fit a TT (with OEM air intakes), although the 929 hose lacks the extra bend necessary to prevent contact/chafe. If someone does a trial-fit, please let us know the outcome. ...I'll worry about my hairline - you worry about your spellcheck
Con, for $6:00, worth a try with the cheaper one first ??? PS: K-Zed, I'll worry about my spellcheck... you worry about those skinny white legs in your avatar
