better tyres among the two. Apparently excellent in the dry. But be careful in the wet. Top 2 tyres to get if you got the dough are Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 and Michelin Pilot Sports 2.;)

    bottom of range????

Depending on what size tyre you want NANKANG makes 235/45/r17 93V tyres for $150 each. NOW thats bottom of the barrel my friend and affordable. Say hello to your TyrePower pro!!! Oh by the way, my last set of NANKANGS lasted me AGES 50K kms, but then again I am not a track/drag guru driver - just the occassional spirited run up to the speed limit and the road nosie was worth the saving. I normally listen to music so they didnt bother me:-Z

    Seconded....

preference in the same order. I've done over 90 laps at QR on the 104s and they have 50% tread left. I've also done over 30 launches at the drags on them too. They are awesome for cornering once they're warmed up. Straightine traction is good too - again when they're warm (2.211 60ft time). Their fine when new in the wet, but as they get older you have to take it easier.

Put it this way - I'm running 1:04 lap times in my NA at QR on them and they are still gripping well - and if you have seen me on the track, I like to drift a bit! And for $250(255/17/40 ZR) each, you can't go wrong.

    I suggest you try NEXEN 3000 >>>

I have been using them for about 10 weeks, and they are far superior to Kumho's (which I replaced). Excellent ride comfort, handling is precise, roadholding, wet or dry, is very good, they are MUCH quieter than Kumho, they have a very similar tread pattern to the Goodyear F1's, and they were around $200 each, fitted and balanced (235/40/18). 265/35/18 cost $240 each (fitted & balanced).
BTW, they are Silicon based technology.

    You should check out

Maxxis tyres, at www.maxxis.com and go to automotive.I just bought a pair of MA-V1 (255/40R17) price was $375 fitted and balanced.I knew these were cheap tyres, but compared to my Falken Ziex's, the Maxxis are awesome. It used to spin the falkens all the time, now there is much more grip with the Maxxis. Excellent in the wet too, haven't tried any track work or conering too hard, but straight line acceleration is really impressive compared to what I had. Only spins these tyes when boost comes on in 1st gear, second gear is holding traction.Ben
