    My old answer was never!
My new answer is just once!I came around a corner not far from home this evening a lil quicker than I should have - no tyres squealing, no cars around, however I did use both lanes rather than just the inside one which you're supposed to. To my disgust, a Highway Patrol vehicle was sitting on the opposite side of the road directly in front of me, as I drove past they were already turning around and then shortly after had the cherries on. After a breath test and license check I was on my way with a caution.I must now go and change my underwear.

    depends...

it depends on whether you mouth off to them or if you try to be smart. on the whole if you're polite to them they'll be polite to you. That is unless you've something really bad like that teenage chick in victoria who did 200kph in her zed, that sorta stuff the police don't let slide.

    lol, a few stories.......

was doing 125km/h in a 110km/h zone near Moe(6am) and went passed cops with a radar and all they did was flash there high beams at me. (Never gave chase)Was in my old VN, went around a corner too quick and it was a bit wet, bit of a compression lock as i was dropping into 2nd to make the lights, looked in my mirror and saw the lights...took them about 2kms to finally pull me over as they were in a police 4WD. Gave me a warning as they couldnt determine my speed and i didnt go thru the red. By the way the cop was female and i started chit-chatting with her aswell and at the end we had a bit of a laugh and she told me not to be a "naughty-boy". ;) 8D Max:YD

    Egg ....

    Highway Patrol.

Normally never. Highway Patrol are rated on performance and that equals traffic infringements up here.
Last time was 3am coming out of Brisbane, pulled over for breath test and was just about to leave when the HP bike dude showed me 77kmhr and told me to slow down. How rude, it was a 70 zone with three lanes and no cars coming out of the city, I thought I deserved a gold star for meandering along in the left hand lane. And the only time as far as HP are concerned.
Those guys are normally writing tickets before you've ever stopped.
    Lucky :)

    I got one for you.

All i used to get was a wave. Then when i saw the copper again (at work) i knew what he was going to say AGAIN! "Slow down a bit thanks tim, clocked you at ___kph today". Only ever got up to +17 over limit (True) and all i had to do was smile and not charge him for his pizzas. The next time he came in my boss said what have i done this time and how many pizzas it would cost him.

Max's story needs an update .....

So did you get her phone number so that you could ring if you were a naughty boy? Then she would have had to come around in her police uniform and handcuffs .......

    best one i know,

a mate (who happens to be quite slow) was doing about 200 in a 100 zone. the 4wd drive took about ten mins to pull him over after he slowed down. the copper asked how fast he was going. honestly he spoke up. the cop asks why, and he said he really really had to get to work. let go with a warning. sometimes its fun working in the defence force.Cory

Got two to beat you all...

I think I've used up all my luck for the next 10 years.Raced a fully marked highway patrol with no lights and sirens in daylight down the old pacific HWY doing about 100 to 130 in a 70 zone... Don't ask me why, cause I don't know either...For those of you who know the road, we started at the north end just past mount cola and he finally pulled me over a bit past the weigh station.. maybe 10 - 15 kms???Second was about a month ago, full car, slow drivers, and I had two turbos. So off I went on my merry way, wrapped out 2nd gear (6700rpm) hit third as I went through a completely visible roundabout. Coppa sittin round the corner just waiting for me. No Radar. Was a dog squad unit.I tell ya, that guy was a champ. Gave me a talking to and told me I had a real good attitude. Told me fines would be in the mail within the week. Like I said, that was a month ago...Both instances, no fines (as of yet)I'm an idiot for what I do, but an extremely lucky idiot...
