When I go up my drive way, slowly because it's a lime stone driveway, and lots of dips and bumps. I can hear this knocking - tapping? sound coming from the engine bay as I am half way up the 45 degree , or close to it hill in the drive way. You can sort of hear it in the vid, just concentrate on the sound and you should hear what I am talking about. I am not sure if it's pinging? Or lifters? Doesn't do it any where else and if I back off the throttle and then get back on it, it goes away but comes back with in a few seconds, once out of the hill and on the flat it stops completely. I also notice it not as bad on other slight incline's around the place with light throttle and low revs. It's done it since I had the car, but I though it was lifters but I just need to clarify. If that vid is no good I'll try again to get a better sound. clip
Something loose hanging that only moves once it's on the incline? Tried looking inside your wheel arches behind the plastic guards???
maybe the radiator shroud hitting the fan? I know my mates Supra does this after everything is warm and usually after a bit of a tramp. Does it make that noise just when you start the car up??
Its defiantly from the engine. Its defiantly from the engine.I think I'll attemp to get a better recording.
Last thing you played with was zhorst Have a look under there. I'm willing to bet that you've probably left a rubber mount off or it has popped off since you put it back on. then again it may also be a heat shield you havent tightened back up or it has worked loose and is hitting the exhaust as your angle changes. I changed shocks and all before I actually came across an improperly secured spare tyre. tell me how shitty I was!!!!!
